Eating Bacon!!!

Bacon fans of the world, we have created the first ever bacon jerky. You heard me right, I didn’t say beef jerky, I said Bacon Jerky! I am sure that all you true bacon aficionados are already drooling uncontrollably as your internal tasting mechanisms know that bacon jerky will be able to satisfy your daily bacon urges on go. No longer are you limited to eating bacon at home, you can now take our pouches with you and eat bacon at work, school or simply as a great snack no matter where you are at anytime throughout your day.
The best part about Bacon Jerky in comparison to regular bacon is that when you cook bacon, the aroma floats through the air calling out to those around you to come and get it which means that you have to share. With Bacon Jerky it’s ready to eat the second you want it! You can simply enjoy a few pieces and those around you want know that you’re snacking on the most delectably delicious bacon ever. How great is that?
This past weekend I went wine tasting in Solvang , CA as I have many times in the past. It is among my favorite places to taste as it is one of those rare places in which I get to mix business with pleasure by taking along my RV and staying the night at Lake Cachuma. On this most recent trip I stumbled across a tasting room that I haven’t been to simply because on of the people I was with had a leg injury and couldn’t walk down the stairs of the place we planned on going. Anyways we entered the busy tasting room and began tasting several wines. As I progressed down the list of wines several words jumped right off the page and surprised me. It said, “All wines are made by women winemakers.” I had never heard of such a thing.
Recently I have been building a relationship with a company that shares our passion for bacon, but they have a different twist and that is they sell many bacon related novelty items. In a recent interview I asked Kevin and Django of www.merchbot.com several questions like why do they do what they do. There response was quite entertaining. Django said, “We love selling stupid stuff, but this is really just a big excuse for me to buy fake dog poop and zombie action figures by the dozens.”
www.Merch-bot.com is like many other businesses, they started with one simple idea that was a funny t-shirt design. Django knew that he needed to get that shirt out there and distribute it. He was already a professional screen printer and knew a lot about the business and he felt his shirt could be a huge success as he said it was, “Fifty percent political statement, fifty percent absurdity and 100% funny”
After doing some wine tasting this past week I was on my way home on the 46 highway in Paso Robles when I saw up on the hill a very pretty adobe style looking building that said, “Wine tasting.” I hadn’t heard of this winery and it wasn’t on any of my maps, but the architecture and color reminded me of some of the buildings that I saw on a recent trip to visit some friends in Santa Fe New Mexico. Curiosity got the best of me so I made the u-turn and drove up the hill. Well I was right, there was definitely a southwestern theme to this building. It even had cacti out front. I walked into the tasting room and was greeted by Joe and Barbara Rosilez who are the parents to the winemaker Joe Rosilez.
